ישיבת בית דוד בקריית גת הינה הישיבה הראשונה שהרבי מליובאוויטש הקים בישראל.

הישיבה מאגדת תחתיה מספר מוסדות, בהן: חטיבה לנוער, ישיבה קטנה וישיבה גדולה המונות יחד למעלה מ -500 תלמידים המגיעים מכל רחבי הארץ והעולם; כולל אברכים, מכון סמיכה לרבנות, מרכז להפצת יהדות ועוד.

מאז שנוסדה לפני 60 שנה ועד היום, פועל צוות הישיבה מתוך תחושת שליחות ומעניק לכל תלמיד יחס חם ואישי. אנו יוצרים את שלוחי חב"ד בארץ ובעולם, הרבנים, המחנכים והמשפיעים של הדור הבא ומקפידים תמיד - לעשות את זה מכל הלב.
 

בהתאם לחינוך של , התלמידים תורמים רבות לתושבי העיר והדרום כולו בכל ענין יהודי, החל מבדיקת מזוזות, אזכרות, חנוכת הבית בבתי התושבים, מסיבות השבת לילדים, דרשות בבתי כנסת ופעילות נוספת בחגים ובכל ימות השנה מגדרה ועד אילת.

הבנין החדש

בימים אלו אנו נמצאים בתחילת הבנייה של בניין חדש לישיבתנו אשר ישמש פניימיה, חדר אוכל וספרייה עבור כ-500 מתלמידנו היקרים מארץ הקודש ומרחבי העולם כולו.
נכון להיום עשרות תלמידים ישנים בדירות שכורות ותלמידים רבים נוספים מבקשים להצטרף לישיבתנו ומחוסר מקום אנו נאלצים לא לקבלם.

הבניין אשר יבנה בעז"ה יהווה פתרון חשוב מאוד עבור כך למאות מתלמידנו אשר בעתיד בעזרת ה' ישמשו בקודש רבנים ושלוחי חב"ד בארץ ובעולם!
